Recently, the fashion world imploded with excitement regarding the news of Kanye West's collaboration with French fashion label, A.P.C. Known for being fashionably dressed and impeccable taste, West enjoys the luxury and artistry of high fashion. Vogue UK reports the pre-order for the capsule collection sold out in a matter of hours. The collection is still available for pre-order; however, it's unknown when the clothing will be available. Although this news rocked the world, there are tons of other notable fashion collaborations that took consumers on a spending spree.

1. Target: The mass retail giant has joined with many of fashion's prized possessions, which has positioned Target favorably against Walmart, one of their top competitors. Designers such as Isaac Mizrahi, Proenza Schuler, Rodarte and Missoni have created affordable collections for the everyday consumer. Prabal Gurung was the most recent slated designer who presented his collection earlier this year. Even Neiman Marcus offered clothing and home decor to Target stores. But don't believe they magically priced the collections between $20 and $50. Fashionista.com reported the highest priced dress in the Rodarte collection was $1,000.
2. H&M: Many fashion influencers praise H&M for creating fashion-forward pieces for a large audience. The Swedish, retail giant received more compliments in 2004 when they introduced a limited-edition collection with Karl Lagerfeld, creative director of Chanel. Then 2008 featured a collection with Rei Kawakubo's Comme des Garcon, which took consumers into the oft-inspiring mind of the designer. However, H&m wasn't done exploring European designers. They rolled out various collections by Stella McCartney, Roberto Cavalli, Versace and Lanvin, and will release the highly anticipated Isabel Marant collection in November.

3. Rihanna for River Island: For years we've followed Rihanna's style evolution, and she finally gave us a piece of her fashionable mind. The style maven paired up with British label, River Island, and designed an two exclusive collections for them. After the reveal of her second collection, it was announced that Rihanna will executive produce her own fashion, reality TV show on the Style Network called Styled to Rock.
4. GapKids: Stella McCartney brought her laid-back, casual aesthetic to GapKids from 2009-2011. She created different prints and added her extra flare to each piece. In 2013, Diane von Furstenburg released a stylish, safari-themed collection for the young tots.
